I do have a 32x and think it certainly was very under utilised at the time, it had real potential in many ways to bring home some great games and i have no idea why it was never supported better. The closest i did play was the Saturn version of the first game. I have played Metal Slug on the PS2 and no it was not arcade perfect, if you played it on original hardware before and after you may just be quite dissapointed, but then again you may not care. GEO if you like some of the games? Theyre one of the best consoles ever, ive never seen any games ported to something else that id rather play over the original. For that reason id not call a home cart a 'port' of an MVS title, because it is essentially the exact same thing and made at the same time, with no changes to the game data contained in the ROMs.īut it begs the question from me to you, why would you not want a NEO As im sure youre aware, the home cart versions are in every way identical to the MVS version, the hardware is exactly the same in terms of ROM chips in the carts, and with exception of the backup memory on the MVS that is not present on the home console, there is no other difference there either. GEOs, both MVS and home console, and at one point did own almost every game, ive sold a heap over the past couple years though.Im just interested to know why youd bother, no other reason.
